Running for Water

Recurso is teaming up with Tridelta sorority to host this year’s Running for Water event, a 5K run to benefit water and sanitation in Sudan.  To register or for donations, please visit www.running4water.co before March 19th!

Watch this video to find out why we feel compelled to take on this project, and why YOU and all of your running friends should JOIN US on the 19th!

Also, JOIN US on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=195213063841410

Tough Facts:

• Every 15 seconds, a child dies from the lack of access to clean water.

• 660 million people live on less than $2 a day, without access to a clean water source.

• Women and children, especially girls, can spend up to 60% of their day gathering water. As a result, they miss valuable time they could be using for school and work.

• 2.2 billion people, almost half of the population of developing countries, lack adequate sanitation.

• Without access to a latrine, girls stop going to school once they reach puberty.

We are reaching out to UF students, the Gainesville community, businesses and college campuses across Florrida.

We, as fortunate individuals, have the opportunity to help end this global water crisis. Join us!
